VTNY began as a collection of Vaishnavs meeting regularly in their homes to hold darshans and satsangs in 1985.
By 1987, the founding Vaishnavs had secured a building in Holliswood, NY, conducted their first fundraiser and gained the blessing of VTNY’s spiritual benefactors:
Vakhpati Pitadhish Pujyapad Goswami 108 Shree Mathureshwarji Maharajshri and Nitya Leelasth Pujyapad Goswami 108 Shri Indirabetiji Mahodayashri.
We held our first Patotsov and officially opened our doors for worship on June 25th, 1987.
VTNY has since become a spiritual home to thousands of devotees, expanding into a community center with activities and seva opportunities for practitioners of all ages and genders.
