What is Darshan?

The Sanskrit “Darshan” (दर्शन) means “to see or view a deity or holy figure.” To Vaishnavs, the act of performing Darshan is a holy communion between the individual and Bhagvan, in which they receive blessings from Thakorji by looking upon His Murti. VTNY offers its community members the opportunity to do Darshan six times a day, often with Aarti, the ritualistic waving of lit diyas to venerate deities performed by our Mukhyaji, accompanied by singing hymns.
